Question about the Ford Mondeo, Sony 6CD audio unit

Does the sony 6CD autochanger thing play MP3s and AACs off the discs?

Is there a way to get an iPod/iPhone hooked up to it such that you can control the ipod/iPhone from the head-unit?

If its the same model Sony unit as that in my Focus then as long as it says MP3 on the front of the unit then it should play them off the disc. (of course it wont play anything thats in the iTunes format)

As for connecting an iPod to it.....once again if its the same as the Focus then you need to have spec'd the USB connection/interface to control it from the headunit itself. Otherwise you will have to rely on the 3.5mm jack aux in.

If its the in dash version on the mark 4 it certainly does as I prefer to make my own compilations to listen to.

I know its been done by 1 or 2 guys on the FocusSTOC..........as for how complicated or expensive it is im not sure.
