Hello

Myself and my boyfriend are looking to stay two nights in Edinburgh in March this year, we are in our 20's.

Ideally looking to spend around the £100 a night region, preferably including breakfast. A few places we have already looked at want an extra £40 on top of that for breakfast for two, over two days, which seems pretty pricey.

Ideally somewhere a bit more traditional rather than contemporary but would consider either. Anybody have any good recommendations or suggestions?

Thanks!

Just had a German friend who works in the tourist industry visit, and I'd recommended the point hotel as somewhere central that's clean and modern and relatively cheap.

Booking.com has it at 250 quid for 3 nights mid march over a weekend.

Radisson and George hotel also look to be in budget and would probably fit more into your traditional category.

If you're willing to go guest house and a wee bit further out then there's loads around Wester Coates and Roseberry Crescent.

Scotland vs Italy rugby is on 19th March, so places might be a bit busier/pricier that weekend...

The glass house is great - if a bit pricey. Try Mr and Mrs Smiths, some really nice b&b's. We were up there just before xmas had a fab time as usual. You must try the dome for its cocktails on George street and then tigerlillys for some more cocktails in the evening. Would also recomend chop chop - gordan ramseys winner.
Enjoy

Don't book direct - use a site such as booking.com to find the best deals smile

Caledonian Hilton on Princes St, walking distance to all major city attractions, very nice have stayed here both on business and personal trips several times.

Have fun Edinburgh is a lovely place to visit, take some to explore the countyside on the outskirts of town.

Stayed here a few years back, St Petersburg room, quite small but perfectly appointed, stunning hotel and got a great deal through laterooms.

The Bonham. Very nice indeed. Great restaurant. You can book with one of the online companies and get a decent discount over a weekend.
