Very nice, but dealer just quoted 5-6 months build time and full list price. Any way round either of those?

Not really, they are brand new and with the UK recently covered in the white stuff again it means 4x4 prices are nice and solid.

No, I asked about ex-demo models and they're not being released until March at least which is when the M-Sport and 3.0d models are being launched.

One of the issues is that they're being made in the US which adds a month to the order time for transport & logistics.

Plenty of ex-demo for sale on here by Sytner at near list. Only 2.0d available though.

Yes, but it was Sytners that I asked and my local dealer has two on here - they may be advertised but you won't be able to take delivery until March earliest I was told. Although I guess they would for the right money... I'm waiting for a 3.0d though.

Check out the Evo review in this months issue - some good comments.

They can't be released until March as part of their franchise agreement with BMW, demonstrators have to be kept for a minimum period of time, selling them before then can lead to serious penalties - no problems with them being reserved but they cannot be released
