Pretty easy to shoot down I would have thought, and difficult to armour.

I wonder what its ceiling is?

The yanks use a lot of airships in Afganistan i gather, for high level recon / listening / photography.

The 3 week theory is all fine and well as long as you can keep the helium in the sucker that long otherwise the whole lot is going to suffer from gravity!!

These have been around for years. I think that the USA is taking the most interest in developing them - another case of invented here, developed elsewhere.
