Would this work... Insurance related
Discussion
Can't sleep and randomly thought about car insurance. Why isn't there a website that compares cars within insurance companies instead of the usual comparing one car with many companies.
For example, if I was looking for a new car the insurance cost would be a big factor for me being only 18. So why can't I enter my details such as mileage price range postcode etc. and a list of cars come up that would fit my insurance price range or simply even the 5 cheapest cars I could insure.
Surely if there are websites comparing over 250 insurance companies within seconds it would be possible to make this work too. Now does this already exist and I'm just extremely tired or am I right in thinking this type of website is not available. If so why not?

Unfortunately there isn't a website like that, well i haven't stumbled upon it yet anyway so the best 2 tips I can offer are...
Have a look at the insurance group of the car 1st, if it's above 8 on the old scale then forget it.
Go on confused or any other comparison site and just keep editing your car that you want a quote for to ones that you like and just jot down the quote. I've done it loads when trying to figure out what car I want next but need to see if they're insurable for a fair sum!

I always thought of this as an idea for insurance companies..
instead of you calling up, or filling out forms for insurers or comparison sites. you have 1 database/company where you can upload all your details. This way, you wouldn't have to spend 5-10minutes answering the same questions over and over again, the insurer could then just request ur ID/code, and they'll be able to access all the info, and calculate in seconds. a customer could pay a one of £5 to put their details on the service, and the insurer would pay £5 to the company for every quote they manage to make a sale with. Saves time on both ends, just as long as you make sure you fill out all your details right the first time.

problem with that is that would be too much to chance, how many people do you think don't disclose a speeding fine (as ts off my license, hwo cars they need 5 years? )
or a claim that is non fault just slips their mind.. might not make a huge difference but if you have 7 non fualts with someone or 2 with another i know who i would prefer to insure
