Prices started at £3.00 at the last one I went to! I got a scruffy Giant for £30 for my daughter.

I tried to get details of the local ones off the web, and most of the sites with the info charge for the details. Try ringing up your local cop shop, if you're polite, and they're not too busy, they'll be happy to help you.

Decathlon do a very smart all black steel single speed for about £60... ideal for a short commute and don't care if stolen... it's not on their website anymore but in every store i've been to...
