Which order should the plug leads go?
Discussion
This sounds like a bit of a dumb question but!
Have just purcahsed some new leads to go from the spark plugs to the dizzy. The leads are nicely numbered however I don't know the corresponding number for the spark plugs they go on. Its not covered in the SH bible! Anybody know please!
Cheers

Just changed my leads last week (chimaera 4.0 '97).
When you're standing at the front of the car facing the rear the right hand bank of pistons is 1,3,5,7 & so the left hand bank is 2,4,6,8.
And as the earlier replies suggest change 1 lead at a time, but if you get stuck, the 1st lead to the right of the front distributor clip (clip nearest to front of engine) is No 8 this is then followed in an anti-clockwise direction by 1,2,7,5,6,3 & 4.
Best of luck. T.one
