New Wheels

Hi there people ive just bought some new 4 stud 7.5" x 17" wheels for my griff but im unsure i can still fit 245s but with a 40 series tyre?

Got them cheap so worth a try i thought,will post pics when there on.

Its a stretch on a 7.5 rim,but some makes say its ok,others say you neeed a 8" rim min,,depends on what tyres you intend to use.... important bit here though,whats the offsets on the front and rear wheels,same for both ?

There all et 38 so im gonna use some spacers especially at the front.
Thing is my original rears are 7.5 and have 245/45/16 so i might chance it.

Spacers have moved on. I certanly wouldn't be worried about using some hubcentric spacers to move the wheels out.

Steve, If its any help i have raceline 17's on mine width 9J rear and 8J front. I run 255 40's on the rear and 235 45 on the front R888's all round but it is very tight. The rears weren't too bad but the fronts were hard to get to fit. I had to cut out the inner wheel arches front and rear and cut back and reform the battery box protrusion in the near side front wheel arch but it works well though. will try and post photos but not very good at that.

True..... as long as longer studs/bolts are used to affix the wheels as well,not always the case,just my personal preferance not to like the idea,why fit a wheel not suitable by its very size and offset.

I understand what your saying but if you want something different from the rest youve no choice but to experiment and take a chance.
Unless you spend a fortune and get custom rims made like image or compomotive theres basically no other 4 stud rims out there..
