Tyre Monitoring Systems

If any good, a bargain for the price & the fact that they retro-fit to existing valves.

It looks identical to the German Tiremoni system - only this one seems slightly more expensive.

I have been close to getting one.

I have much much older system that I got from the US. Mine has sensors fitted inside the wheels as part of the valve set. They tried setting up an office in the UK - but it didn't work out and they pulled out.

Their initial sensors were connected to metal bands around the wheels - not such a hot idea - these broke on a regular basis
The next model of sensor was inside the tyre as part of the valve assembly - a much better idea and I have only had one break although I am careful to warn any tyre fitter that the valves are present

I suspect and hope that the more modern system will work better as my main issue is that quite often one tyre fails to register for a while and do generates a "missing" error.

I asked them if was suitable for a race/track car bouncing off curbs/etc. and they said yes.

This system is mounted in the wheel the one the OP linked to is just a valve cap.
How can a valve cap measure tyre temp?
I know the one I linked to 'can't' really give the tyre temp but it's got to be better than a vavle cap?

I have that on 2 bikes & another car (with the latter type sensors) & have had a few occurrences of the missing error, but has always corrected with 20 mins.

That's what I was wondering, would it be affected by direct sunlight (more so than the same effect on tyres)?

The Tyre Sure system is way cheaper than the other systems I have but needs the wheels off to fit.

Anyway for me, it's only a guide to check that all 4 are performing at the same rate (although where you get your air from can make a significant difference).
