Nissan Juke - Petrol or diesel?
Discussion
I can't directly relate to the Juke but my partner and I bought a new Micra last year and had the chance to test drive both the small petrol and diesel options.
We ended up going for the diesel. The 1.5 DCi diesel engine is particularly agriculatural and clattery, but it does quieten down when you get up to speed, does return superb economy and is really very torquey given its low capacity. Even cruising along at 80MPH it'll pull quite well when you put your foot down. I'm always impressed when I drive it.
The petrol was obviously quieter and smoother but just felt so gutless in comparison so it was a no brainer for us.
My partner is so used to the torque of the diesel now that when she drove my Corrado VR6 recently, she complained about how slow it felt! I had to resist the urge to make her pull over, and walk home
