Be interesting to see if it will impact on hire fleets. They change their cars when quite new.

Also interesting to see if it will make second hand Vx prices more bouyant.

I have a feeling this whole lifetime warranty is just PR spin. Volvo had Lifetime Care back in the late 80s. It seemed to be based on the same principle. Do you think they'd honour a warranty claim on a FSH E reg 360 now?

Maintaining a car without warranty using independent garages will cost you less over 100.000miles than using authorised dealer for EVERYTHING with this warranty thing.

That article refers to the New Car Warranty from last year.

Dont know about prices, i am sure when the vehicle is uneconomical to repair or parts no longer available then a offer would be made to the owner not sure if this is pound notes or the form of a credit though.

For sure Vauxhall will have done some research before offering this out and no doubt marketing it to attract vehicle sales but at least they are trying something extra over and above the existing warranty.

Fact is many owners will still change their cars after 3 years but many too take finance over 5 years and own it for that period at which point having a warranty covering most aspects of the vehicle will be appealing certainly once you get into MOT time.
