E61 525 M Sport Touring - Advice...

So, I have been looking through the search results and nothing really gives me advice on a 525 Touring.
I just sold my 3.0 Z4 and am looking at the Touring now. I have decided to go for the "5" and not the "3". Has to be Petrol as I can't really afford a good diesel such as the newer 530 and 535 etc..
Has anybody purchased one recently?
I think I'm looking at about £13k max... Has to be full of leather and be the M Sport. 80k miles or so seems to be the average, high milage cars don't scare me too much as long as they have a good service history!
From what I see on the nerd:
03 to 05 had 192bhp
05 to 07 had 215bhp
(Superchips can up these by 12bhp)
Anybody know the exact dates of the engine change?

Are u sure a 530i wouldn't be more preferable?
The Only reason I say this is because a guy on another forum is having a terrible time selling.
No one wants what he has which is an e60 525i with a manual.
Most E60/1's are diesel as you know but the 2.5L is a strangled 3 litre engine.
If you know this then I apologise but if you find a bargain of a 525 then beat of luck.

530i would be perfect, I was under the impression that they are just that bit more expensive.
I have been on the Autotrader and 535's seem to be better value than the 530's. I checked the insurance (as it will be in my wife's name) not much difference but just can't find any nice ones under 13k.
525's however are looking good..?
