Sardinia

Anybody know the state of the roads over there? Planning a driving trip through Corsica to Sardinia in May/June. I've heard that Corsican roads (and drivers) are not too good, but Sardinia seems to have benefited from EU cash to up-grade their road infra-structure. I'd like to hear first hand though if possible.

i was there a couple of years ago and the roads were great. a bit too much police presence though - they seem hot on speeders, and they carry guns!

I've been to Decci several times and driven over the island into the hills and had a great time, smooth roads with reasonable traffic amounts until you get to the high passes and the roads became somewhat "interesting" considering the surface.

Have a fantastic trip, it's a beautiful place.
