Could just be a bloke with those initials or the fella selling it happens to have mates at the factory?

For about 18 months my mini was maintained by Audi Motorsport UK!

Oh I dunno.. I reckon they're doing max power mods in Blackpool now.. I can see it now:

"Get your Chimp Chipped"
5" "performance" tailpipe extensions
New "rear discs" for early S's "just like the real thing"*

*excluding caliper or braking capability..

Maybe rebuilt by TWR (Tom Walthamshaw Racing !?!)

Still begs the question why?

More likely a mate, or a mate of a mate, works / worked as a mechanic for TVR and donated an evening of his time to look at the Pug's engine as a favour.

Hence "rebuilt by TVR". Obviously.

I have a mate who works at Broughtons.. do I win a TVRSH if he changes my plugs once in a while then???

Or perhaps I should say "Serviced by a Rolls-Royce mechanic instead"

Actually come to think of it... does this mean I can have "Rolls Royce service history" on my TVR..

Cheers
Matt..

Had my car serviced at TVR Power in Coventry last year. While I was there one of the mechanics said 'have a look at this then' and opened the bonnet of an old Ford Escort. They'd squeezed a TVR 5 litre Rover V8 into it. It apparently went like sh1t off a shovel.

I think all you'll get is to take it back again a couple of times until they get it right....

...if my Chimaera experience was anything to go by.

I remember when I first started looking for the TVR website, I was always pointed in the direction of an engineering firm whose initials were TVR - I reckon it was a good way of extracting cash from TVR for the domain name....but maybe they are the people mentioned.

So that's how 'white van man' does it !!! I have always wondered how on earth they got those vans to go so quickly - any van I have ever hired from Budget et al the has been so under powered that I could have jogged faster!!!
