Roush cat

My Mot will be due in march the Roush exhaust has cat bypass pipe, where would the best place to get a cat from? And any idea if it would pass without the mapping being altered? Running 495hp +-
(thinking of only getting one and make sure Mot man puts up left spout)

OP,

I belive it may be cheaper and easier to find a new MOT cenre than to replace the cat =)

My MOT center is quite reasonable and don't ask me to put the cats back on any more.
In any case, I used to get away with just fitting the rear cat. No re-mapping required. This is an easy job. The front is a bh.
I have a Rousch and I use bypass pipes, therefore I have both cats on a shelf in my garage. If you need to borrow one, you are welcome. Downside is I'm in Wokingham.

Thanks for the offer Andy I might take you up on it ( there will be a good drink in it for you) MOT is due in march. Iv'e taken the car off the road while the salt is about hope to get it MOT'ed early so I don't have ponce about when the weather gets better.

Think my roush system has the cats built in, don´t even think they can be removed with ease, what sort of difference does it make to power/noise?

Anyone know of any roush de-cat pipes kicking around? dont think they make them now do they?

Trevor at Roush says differently.
Yes, they are louder without the cats, but I also have 10 more horses without the cats in place.

Hard to tell the difference when driving, but on paper from a RR it's true.

Not worth 10 bhp if you cannot get on track without them..

Have mine fitted, and when I was tested at Snetterton they gave a reading of 107 from the right 105 the left

They only just let me on, when I promised not to rev her to hard, so as you do I came flying down the pit straight max revs and as I change into 4th Bang she pops so loud it made everyone jump on the pit wall

Not been back since, but have orderd the quieter tail pipes from Piper.
