Merc 190e questions

Anyone on here have one of these (I'm sure there's a few lurking!)?
A few questions about my one...

(1) When I open the boot, a load of rain/condensation always pours down into the boot from the bootlid. Is there some drainage hole blocked or something?

(2) When my heater fan is on, and I brake, an annoying whine (belt whine kinda sound) comes through into the cabin. Is there any link at all between the braking mechanism/mechanics and the heater mechanism/mechanics or am I going mad?!

just open the boot slowly to let the water poor out, if you open the boot too quickly after rain some water can enter the boot.

There's probaply someting broken in your vents that's creating the noise , move the switches to stop the noise.
