Tailgate struts

My Mini Park Lane has that annoying habit of trying to decapitate my head every time I use the tailgate....time for some new struts I guess.

So can anyone recommend where to get some replacement struts (other than Mini themselves) and whether it is as easy to replace them as it looks like it should be, considering my 'mechanical skills' are close to zero!

mini is your best bet.

use a flat blade screw drive and lift off the spring clip then pull them off the bung, do the same with the other end and fitting the new ones is the reverse. Very simple job.

Only other place to try is breakers or euro car parts. I always just go to bmw as its normally the cheapest especially if you ask for a 10% off which is normally a given when asked for
