But due to my wife being pregnant i need to unfortunately get a more "sensible" car and therefore will be selling my TVR T350C. I can finanically afford to keep her but to be honest i would hardly drive her and after owning her for over 3 years i feel that is the wrong thing to do with such a fine motor and so i want someone else to enjoy and love her.....

Going to break my heart when she gets sold but unfortunately it probably has to be done....although I can't imagine my garage without her in it at the moment...

So my question to you guys is, do people find it better to sell it privately or stick it with a dealer (usually on a sale or return basis)

Failing that (a Cerbera,) an XKR will keep you occupied until the garage is an MPV and a TVR!

Congrats. If it makes any difference, I was in the same situation 18 months ago (how time flies...). I kept mine, we have a 4x4 as well for family stuff, but the nipper gets plenty of rides in the TVR. Cerb is a good alternative as well

I am toying with keeping it after taking her for a spin on the weekend, and selling her R32 to buy a M5 but depends if she can cope with that as her daily drive. Mind you not sure she'd be happy me taking the little one out in the TVR given the lack of safety features on it but i'm sure i can work on that....

Please whatever you do, do not use the line 'due to having a child I've had to sell'...if you can afford to buy and run the 350 which is a position not many people in today's climate can manage, keep the car...it will fit a child seat, my Tamora does.

We're expecting our second child in May, when my daughter was born, I bought a Mk4 R32 Golf (5 door) and it's the perfect baby car, it's even been round the 'Ring with the baby seat in the back! We also have a slightly knackered S-Type Jag as the main baby car. Running an M5 is fail, plain and simple, 17 mpg is the best you'll see so what about something cheaper to run if you must go down the 'we're having a small child, so we need a Winabago now'. You'll fit a child and all the gubbins in a hatchback period...just make sure it's 5 door for easy in and out of child.

All the best on the baby front too, it's such a cliche but it changes your life. I find myself reliving my childhood more and more each day
