Does anyone use this on their Z4 ? (Specifically on the Z4)

How do you find it ? It looks like the centre mount seems too far to the left and too low to be good for a sat-nav.

Sorry, never used one, as I just stick a suction mount to my glossy dashboard.

Roughly the same place - It's the location I am more concerned about, although leaving the mount visible does concern me a little.

Do you find it comfortable to look at when driving ?
I do like to use the visual as well as voice directions.

Looks a bit precarious, but I guess it's no different to putting it on the windscreen. Unfortunately, I have the brushed aluminium finish and I don't think I will get a suction mount on that securely.

I got myself a clip that fixes to the air vent. It was £5 on eBay. Honestly, it worked fine for all of my two weeks thrashing about in the alps.
Hate having them stuck to my window

Has it left the vents completely unmarked ? And was it rattle-free with the rock-hard suspension ?

Have you a got a pic by any chance ? I'm having trouble finding a good vent mount for a Z4 that would then be able to take my Garmin sat nav.

Now you are asking.... it worked fine, no marks at all. I just sold my Z4.
I was using a Tom Tom, not sure if this is the same size...

I tend to not look at the visuals much, and use the audible speed cam & POI info more. That's part of the reason for moving it there in the first place, along with removing it from my direct eyeline, as it can be a bit bright (even on the lowers brightness setting and in night mode) when I'm driving at night.

Suction cup won't work for the ally, but it's never come off my dash.

I just sorted out my picture (above). It never came off the vent once.
No marks and no noise. I'm sure I paid £5 for it.

That looks perfect. Now I just have to find one and see if these types of things can be made to work with my Garmin (which has a speaker in the stand).
