A pretty significant change in ALMS GT regs, I think.
ALMS do not allow Corvette Racing to us the LS9 engine in the C6R Corvette. They have to make do with a de-stroked and un-supercharged variant (5.5 liters vs 6.2), making it the only car in the GT class that is less powerful than the street version it's based upon (Corvette ZR1).
SCCA rules permit the stock engine - LS9, in the case of the CTS-V Cadillac, which should make for a highly impressive race package. It's also built and prepared by Pratt & Miller, who run the Corvette program, so should be very robust.
We'll see - the first outing is at St Pete, the week after Sebring. Should be good.

Have to say i was mighty impressed when i drove the std road spec CTS-V early last year, so the race car must be a belter! ;-)
