I got very wet in the heavy rain yesterday water coming in both sides of the car.

Seems that the rubber seal on the underside of the roof (that the window closes against) fills with water which then overflows into the car.

Anyone had this? Something I can fix at home?

You can do this:

But the only real cure is a new roof I'm afraid.....

In the meantime, cleaning and proofing the roof might help limit water ingress ( http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/product_info.php/product... ), or you can just use a car cover. I just bought a moss half cover ( http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/shop/viewproducts.asp... ) as I found using a full-size car cover a pain in the ass.

Hope this helps!

Have you tried tightening the roof latches?
Might not help but may make it fit better, just pull down the plastic bits and turn the hexagonal bar underneath.
