need to fit a worktop this weekend. trouble is i only have my car to pick it up. do any of the sheds cut to size? i have the choice of b&q , focus , homebase amongst others

B&Q and Homebase near here both offer board cutting. If its fitted with the right blade for cutting laminated worktop or not I don't know.

Ring the local stores perhaps ?

my nearest b&q do not but there is one that does not too far away.

If it's a solid wood worktop make sure they cut from the correct side so that the saw doesn't rip the grain out. It may be so sharp and so fast that it doesn't happen, but best to mention it to the cutter - and then you might get a cut that's so clean it only needs a light sanding before installation.

thanks for that but it is only for a rental, the same bds that did not offer me so much as a cup of tea on boxing day when i went to fit the units. so it will be the cheapest possible
