I remember seeing some mentions of some gt40 guys/owners on here. Does anyone need a set of late model (2001-2002 maybe?) corvette mirrors (in the boxs)that I don't need anymore. If anyone can use them, let me know and you can have them for shipping costs. I would also like to take a ride in a kit car with some mid engine transmissions just to see what is out there for a swap in the Esprit.
Also, has anyone else had intermittant problems with their BOV in hot weather? It seems mine sopmetimes locks-up when it is a hot day out. I have to really get into the throttle to get it to free-up again.

We've got lots of members on the GT40 replica forum at www.gt40s.com. As for kit cars, we'll, they're certainly moved way beyond that - most GT40s that are finished now (there are maybe 200 in the US) are finished far better than a production Lotus - much like a Hot Rod or similar. Most are Lotus fans of course, I know, I have both, and will invite you out.

At any rate, depending on where you are, you can certainly take a look at a GT40. There are many in England, but these tend to be track only cars, not so much for road use. Come join the forum and post - you'll get LOTS of invitations to come look at a 40 and can easily fine examples of Renault, ZF, RBT, Getrag/Audi, and Porsche transaxles being used.

I'm in Raleigh, so not far. Up here I know at least three GT40 people, two of which you can look at anytime you like - mine and a good friends' car. Porsche and Getrag transaxles.
