Alarm Help

Hi All,
Happy new year and all that stuff...
I went out to the car the other day and the alarm was going off. Flat battery and eventuly flat alarm back up battery, Charged main battery and car now works great again but alarm buggered,
i have to use the black emergance key to start the car and cant lock car. The key fobs dont seem to be doing anything. Is there a way of resetting alarm? Has it forgotten keys as it was so flat?
is there a simple magic potion i can spray to make it all better>

Disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, reconnect and it will probably be ok.

i cant get my car to lock either i am hoping its a door sensor.my car had a flat last week to mate with back up dead to took battery out and gave it a ful charge will i popped a old batt in and left it till i got my battery charged and then back up went of soon as i connected it and pushed fob and went of so not sure if something else up ther bud
