Hi all, been looking at getting an estate for a while now and have finaly decided on a 156 sportwagen.
Looking at doing a straight swap as i cant be bothered with the hassel of selling my current car which is a 2004 saab 9-5 vector 2.3t saloon, just wondered if there was anyone out there that would be interested in doing a deal.Looking for a late 2.4 10 valve or a 2.0 jts
Thanks Paul.

I viewed a sportwagon before i purchased my v6 veloce saloon and quickly realised its got a tiny load area but i am used to a volvo v70 as my daily driver. That said the spotwagon is a looker just to small.

With the back seats up, the load area is smaller than the saloon: with them down, miles bigger. The limiting factor is the size of the opening. I've managed the odd bike in ours, but, some stuff you can tell would fit just won't go through the gap; for example, had issues with certain pushchair models. If pos, try before you buy.

Not to concerned about the boot space, just need enough room for the dog.I know there one of the most impractical estates around but you've got to love them looks.

Our dog (springer) fits in the back of my wifes 156 sportwagon with no probs. Plus the boot load covering thingy has a mesh panel that goes up to the roof too. Not sure if its a specific dog thing but it stops ours wanting to come forward.

I found my Wagon to pretty and practical, I'd have another if the Wife would let me.

Had my wagon for 5 months and love it. I didn't need an estate car at all, however it has already come in handy including taking a fridge freezer to the tip. It's an occasional estate car rather than a fully fledged load lugger.

I would highly recommend either the 1.9 or 2.4 diesels over the JTS.

From what i've read about them it seems the 10 valve 2.4 is the best engine,so think i'll look out for one of them.Really hope someone out there wants my saab.Thinking that a 2003 model with about the same miles as my saab should be worth about same sort of money,or should i be looking for a facelift 20 valve for a price comparison instead?
