Chaps

A few years ago there was a feature in Evo which had a big picture of a gorge in the South of France and a bit of text about why they pick those roads for group tests. I am planning a driving trip for April but can't find the road in question. I'm sure it's around the Gorges De Verdon and the Route Napoleon etc but would really like to find the article. Already gone through loads of Evos, including Car of the Year 2006. That was set in Castellane but I don't think it's what I am seeing in my head.

Thanks very much

lived there for 2 years, they tested the Focus RS (later one) on the 'col de vence'

I chased them from Vence all the way to Grasse (route napoleon) one of my best ever drives smile

its a regular test road for cars launched in Nice, may have been that? all roads are Gorge like round there.

I haven't got the picture because it was in the magazine and I don't know which one. Every time I try to sit down and go through them I find myself getting side-tracked and reading the articles. I agree that all the roads around there are going to be fantastic but just want to pin that one road down. It was a huge picture - a double-spread I think.

It's the D952 from Castellane to the Verdon Gorge
