best automatic watch up to £100?

What suggestions for a cheap automatic watch to be used as the everyday "doesn't-matter-if-it-gets-broken" one?

Must be automatic/self-winding and ideally leather/rubber strap.

Its got to be a used Seiko automatic.
I have a few divers and love them, check ebay.

A Seiko of some form is always the default choice when this sort of question is asked, and rightly so. They really can't be beaten for the money...

For durability and knocks I'd go for a Seiko SKX007, they're rugged.

Think I'll try one out in the flesh (from a jewellers) to see how they feel.

In my experience, most jewellers on the high street only stock the quartz stuff, and definitely don't stock any of the Seiko 5 range, which is ideal for the OP's criteria.

Just type 'Seiko 5' or 'Seiko mens' into ebay and browse! There's some fantastic looking watches for around the £100 mark.

Citizen do some nice autos too - all grey market though so best to go via ebay. A titanium promaster is my everyday watch, was about £88 delivered.

Seiko 5. Less than half your budget. Look for 'holicbox' on eBay.

ETA- Not sure the default strap would meet your criteria, but you can change them.

^^^^^ they look well on a Nato strap. The original on mine was showing its age after about 12 months hard use, so I got a couple of nato straps to swap and change the look now and again.

fitting is easy if your old strap is completely knackered just cut it of and leave the spring bars in place nato threads through them.

alternatively just remove the spring bars take off old strap refit spring bars and thread on nato.

I bought one of the pepsi bezelled versions from these punters last september and service was decent and you avoid the ebay minefield.

Probably worth the 15 quid for peace of mind, plus it's new so you get warranty.

Yes, just apply a very small screwdriver to gently lever the pinbar tip out of the hole in the lug and the strap will just fall out then remove the pinbar from the strap and replace between lugs. Then thread the Nato through the pinbars. Piss easy. Even I can do it and I hate DIY.
