I'll preface this post by saying that I haven't seen the incident yet but...

If what is coming out of QPR is true tonight, and I have no doubt that it is, the above named person should be kicked out of football for a long, long time.

Apparently, Jamie Mackie (QPR) goes in for a 50/50 challenge with Gael Givet of Blackburn and comes out worst. Genuine accident, it appears, but Mackie's standing foot is caught and his leg is broken in two places.

Now the hateful, spiteful piece of st Diouf comes into the picture and starts abusing Mackie as he is laid out on the pitch. WTF is wrong with the bloke? If it wasn't bad enough that he spits at fans, abuses fans, spits at opponents and dives, now this.

I have no doubt this happened - one of the Rangers players has tweeted that he heard everything Diouf said and couldn't believe it and another Rangers legend, no longer playing, has stated that he saw Diouf give him (Mackie) the middle finger as he lay on the turf.

Unbelievable. What punishment should he get?

But did he know how bad he was hurt, he probably thought he was taking the piss? By the sounds of it nobody knew how bad it was until after. Darting that I hate Diouf and I'm a blackburn fan.

As Warnock said, hopefully this is a situation where Blackburn look beyond just football and get the kind of player Diouf is out of their club. Although I'm not sure what, if anything, could happen via the FA. Is there something as generic as "unsportsmanlike behaviour" he could get banned under?

Thankfully, it sounds like Jamie Mackie's injury is as mild as a leg break can be, so it shouldn't be career-threatening.

Still no excuse for giving Mackie the middle finger let alone letting rip with a volley of abuse.

That bloke has issues, serious ones.

I'm all for aggression when it comes to football but this culture of swearing and abusing opposition players and the referees really has to stop. Sports like rugby and tennis can do without it so why not football?

Is this really the kind of behaviour and professionalism we want our kids to learn from?

Diving/swearing/trying to get opponents booked must be eradicated from the sport.

Exactly.

Diouf needs some severe punishment and the system needs changing to stop the aggression and disrespect in the game.

I run an under tens team in Bristol and at the very grass roots level, the Respect campaign is aimed at improving relations between officials, players and supporters yet at the other end of the spectrum, it's getting worse!

Diouf is expectorating scum, he sums up everything that the modern, overpaid and thuggish professional footballer has become, I hope that he is banned for a long time for bringing the game into disrepute, and that Blackburn's new owners get shot of him ASAP, preferably somewhere ending in 'an'.

I also wish Jamie Mackie a speedy recovery.

Isn't the first, won't be that last.

Keano after breaking Haaland's leg. And still managed to get accredited as a coach and manager. I guess everyone above agrees that Keane should never be allowed to manage again? Ignoring that he's crap.

Couldn't believe Andy Townsend's reaction on ITV's highlights last night.

Laughed it off by saying that Diouf is a windup merchant and that he's good at it.....tt!

Just seen that - Townsend and ITV generally are a complete disgrace, as is Diouf. Blackburn should immediately terminate his contract and then see if he likes being `a wind-up merchant` when nobody wants him.

Sounds like a bit of frantic back page arm waving to me. He may not have known the result of the tackle, and players get angry all the time. This is only news because it is El Hadji.

not being funny but nobody saw Diouf give him abuse the cameras never picked him up giving him the abuse that seems to warrent the vitriol he is getting, Chivet was rolling around on floor and Diouf more than likely gave Mackey some ste for it, every match i see the same happening but he should get pulled for the slap after full time. in my opinion Warnock was out of order as well but this isn't the first time he has engaged mouth before brain.

I'm a QPR fan and this has really dented out push for promotion. Mackie has been a huge star for us this year and now is out for the season. I can accept that, these things happen when players go for 50-50 balls but Diouf's reaction after was a utter disgrace. Problem is, with a fella like him you can moan and insult him all you like, he simply does not give a f**k. He will drive home in his Ferrari, go out clubbing and down expensive champagne and not care one bit. Absolute scumbag.

Does anyone else get a thread like this simply because they gave someone grief for what he thought was play acting?

I think the end of your last post sums it up... "This is only news because it is El Hadji." The guy has shown little respect to fellow footballers or fans throughout his career. With most other players you could write it off as being in the heat of the moment, but Diouf's track record doesn't help anyone give him the benefit of the doubt.
