Not that I know of...

Its been mentioned a couple of times before...

The TVRCC have some sort of register but who has let them know

Pies could, maybe on his site, but thats only PHers...

Lots more besides.
There is a list of S owners on here but that is not up to date, people have sold their cars....

Correct..."we"(me)...is workin on it.

We have a "list" of...er well...of all models...as u'd expect....but its not complete.

It can only be as good as the info I'm given...which obviously relies on the members keeping me informed.

So let the info flow......

Chuggaboom, if you need a hand I'd be happy to help out. What details do you need?

Chugga, sent my details to the last registrar and never got a response, so don't know if its been entered .
However back O/T, I think a standard format for the information you require will help you sift through them, how do you want it then

why not do a online registration form on the web site where you can enter your car details etc etc and this could be verifed by letter at a later date to confirm facts are correct

Your car details are requested on your TVRCC renewal form IIRC.

Member No...if TVRCC member

Chassis No
Reg No...original + private if applicable
Engine Number
Engine Make/Type
Capacity
Colour....full name as per log book
Date acquired

As above for all previous TVRs owned/still owned...some have >1 u know !

Like to have....well I've redesigned the database to store anything and everything....so a kind of rolling history can be kept....MOT details, repairs, mods, stolen, recovered etc.

Its up to the members what they'd like to send in to be kept....so the next member to buy can have the history if req'd.

Pictures are welcome too....Richard(the archivist) will be keeping those...and they'll be linked to the cars record.

Any way it comes will do....but if we start with the chassis no....

If u supply your member no. and it checks out, then I can say what we have on file so far...and go from there.

Correct....but the majority don't bother to fill them in !

Also correct...but we'll be relying on club members to tell about any TVR they know of.

We can't make anybody do anything....especially non members as they get no benefit.

I've created a new section in the db that can store all "spotted"'s....sooner or later a club member will own the car and then we'll hopefully know the chassis number and be able to tie up all the info.

I joined the TVRCC before I bought mine....

Advice given by all owners...

I now have the car...
How do I register it now then..?
Are you saying we have to wait 1 year for membership renewal.?

It wouldn't have mattered, at the time when I joined TVRCC I didn't have a TVR...

I've got one now, but haven't registered the car.

Same as many others who joined prior to buying.

Hmn...yes...sorry....didn't have brain engaged.

I will pose the question with the committee re non owners that become owners, and how existing owners who join for the 1st time notify their cars details.

Thanks for highlighting this issue.

Given that I have owned the car since November 2001 I think sufficient time has lapsed, don't you? However, if that's the club's attitude I don't think I'll bother - which incidentially has been echoed by the fact that I responded to the "have you got a modified TVR?" yet also failed to get a reply.
