Hi there,

I have a 98 Griffith 500 and the O/S Wing Mirror Body seems to have come loose and just hangs and rotates around.

I have checked inside the Door Panel and there are no anchoring nuts/bolts only the wire going up through a fibre glass boss. I have also removed the Mirror but still can't see what to tighten up.

Anyone know how to remove it completely so that I can see what the problem is?

Thanks.

Mac.

Hello Mac and welcome to Pistonheads.

If you click on the FAQ for this forum you should find some answers in the Loose Mirror thread.

These have got to be th crappiest mirrors known to man, my Griff had a wonky one whe I bought it, when I tried to move it, it came off in my hand.
I've managed to plate the mounting post back into the frame inside the cowl temporarily till I can find a replacement.
Don't let anyone tell you they are from a Citroen XM, they are from a late Citroen CX.
