Very High Oil Consumption

Hi,
my 450 (R) reg Chim is using about 1 litre of oil every 1000miles or so. I’m currently running on 10/40 soon to be changed to 15/40.
I have had the exhaust mod done but don’t think this should make any difference.
Anyone any ideas? Oil to Thin!?

Bit on the heavy side. The black exhaust stuff could be carbon build up coupled with a bit of moisture. This could be due to burning a bit of oil.

As for the exhaust mods... it does reduce the back pressure and that can occassionally cause problems. It might be related but it all depends on what the problem is.
