Fun and games!

Due to the pisspoor weather and holidays over Christmas, the battery went flat on the Nob, no worries I thought, quick trickle charge and away we go. Unfortunately the original battery (not bad tho after 8 years!) decided enough was enough and wouldn't charge up.
No worries, I'll drive the car down to a workshop 15 miles away that has a flat lift, pick up a battery from the local factors...sorted. That was until after a jump start I found out the battery was now that bad that the car would just cut out on idle, got going towards the workshop keeping the revs up to stop it cutting out, great until the temps went up and the fans cut in then DEAD!
After four stoppages I disconnected one fan which made the other one come on permanently which solved the fan overload problem, picked up the battery only to find I picked up the wrong workshop keys..DOH!
Anyway, managed to open the workshop and 20 minutes later the new battery was on.

MORAL OF THE STORY......make sure you don't let your battery go flat!

I had the same problem last month had to keep it around 2,000 revs, healing and toeing when breaking all the way home and at the lights reving its head off not much fun
