RM Paint into an aerosol?

TVR colour 'Pearl Blue', code R2846 is apparently a TVR specific mix by BASF/RM. I need a couple of aerosols to blow in some mirror backs etc and have had no luck with finding a match. Anyone know of a supplier with the RM system that might be able to oblige? (Or, of course, an ICI code :wink: )

My Cerbera is Imperial Blue Pearl and i know that from a headlight upgrade i had done by Ewelmes, that my paint too was a factory mix and not ICI....so when i fitted some new rear afterburners recently, i sprayed the pods to match the paintwork and they turned out pretty good if i say so myself!...I went along to a Ford main dealer and brought myself a can of Imperial Blue and a can of clear lacquer, took my time, and i can assure you there is not noticable difference between the pods and the original bodywork colour.

Satman, thanks for the reply. I've never heard mine referred to as 'Imperial', just 'Pearl' blue. I may be wrong but from your pic, I'd say mine is a tad darker...must admit I have been tempted to just use a close colour from Halfords range, given I'm doing the mirrors and I doubt it'll be that obvious as a mis-match. However, it would be useful to source a supplier for when the inevitable wheelarch peppering occurs etc

go along to a paint factors with your car and they will match your paint their and then,and put it in a can for you ,or call your local chips away firm they have on board laptops to match 55,000 shades of paint and they will even apply the paint for a small cost

Have you tried TVR Bodyshop (Webbs Autos), as they made up a matching paint for me, and if I remember correctly, are supposed to be able to match up any colour, and in whatever form you like. Very Helpful to me.

Thanks for the replies. Did try Webbs, although happy to supply paint and could match, weren't able to do the aerosol thing.

Autobits.com have now confirmed they can supply (after contacting Italian manufacturer for formulation) so if anyone needs any, that's a source.
