Hi,

I am going to be purchasing new tyres (4x) for my Audi TT Mk2 RS4 19" alloys and would like some advice on which tyres I should go for. I have no idea what I should be asking for or roughly the price I should be paying. I would like a little knowledge before walking in somewhere and getting my wallet emptied. Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Stick to the major brands - take a look at the recent EVO tyre tests. Have a play on blackcircles.com to check the sort of money you should be paying.

I`d get them online and have a local garage fit them.

If you decide to buy Michelins try your local Costco if you or you know someone who is a member.

On line Camskill have a very good reputation both for price and service

Looking online it appears I should be asking for 245/40/R19/Y/98.. Does that sound right? I will check the car when I get home tonight though. I guess I should be budgeting around just under £1000 for 4 tyres. Can anyone recommend a supplier/fitter in the Romford area?

On the TT the best are ContiSportcontact 3's, IMO.
