Hi All!

This Sat I'm replacing my old worn shocks and springs with 993RS shocks (Bilstein HD) and Eibach progressives.

I'll tell you all what I think the differences are from my highly objective before/after testing metrics (i.e. hooning around oxfordshire)

>>> RS shocks are not the same as HDs - RS were (funnily enough) designed to go on the 993RS, HDs are replacement stiffer than standard shocks for all 993s, allow lowering to RS height if sourced fom Carnewal
>>>> cheers, Maurice

In pursuit of my erudite vision of superlative handling prowess to make a 964RS suspend it's noggin in abject shame; I have embarked upon the most heroic of quests to augment my humblest of steeds the 964C2...

So initiating the proceedings with the adornment betwixt control arms with Bilsteins of the lemon and champagne variety and helicoid Eibachs was my cunning scheme, but when we had the wee timorous beastie upon the lift it became apparant forthwith that there was an onerous botheration with bushes, and we converse not about that variety of shrubbery where lurks Meles meles!

To abbreviate my narration the lower control arm bushes were more rotten than a Danish monarch, and verily a panapoly of other foully-decomposing bushes did supplement my woes...

So with nary a despondent rearward contemplation I anticipate the temporal juncture that will see the convivial rehoonification of me and my ferrous companion with heady jubilation and the pungent aroma of smouldering rubber silicate anon!

OK, I'm sure no-one is really interested, but the state of play is as follows...

993RS Bilstein rears won't fit early 964's (as the strut is _way_ too short) so have had to buy in new Bilstein Yellow HD's.

Fitment plus new Eibach pro's + new bushes (front lower control arms, rear anti-rollbar drop links, front roll bar and a few more...) + 4 wheel alignment + setup to my driving style (hah!) + possible corner weighting happening hopefully this Sat at AmD...

Will keep you informed as to how it turns out...
