The Batley Brag - High Performance Car Meet - Sat 24 Sept

I have been speaking to Kirklees Council about holding a PH ‘show and shine’ car show later this year in Batley (where else!).

The idea is to have an informal gathering of PH performance cars to be held in Batley Market Place sometime later this year (maybe July or possibility September?). We will choose a date to avoid clashing with more established car shows.

The invitation would be open to all interested PHers. The Council are looking for people to display their high performance cars including British favourites such as TVR’s as well as Lambo’s, Ferraris, Porches, Monaros amongst many others

The idea is that it will be an unusual location for a PH meet and the council are keen to have us to attract visitors into the town centre to view our cars and then to have visitors wander around the town and do a bit of shopping etc. Phers will also be able to sample the various pleasures that Batley has to offer!

Due to venue / space restrictions the Council need to know the possible numbers of cars involved, therefore if you are interested then please put your name and car below so I can discuss the viability of the event when I meet with the people from Kirklees Council next week.

My focus isn't anything special but as I'm only in Dewsbury I'll come along for a look and to support.

As the council are looking to make it into a mini 'event' of sorts what else are you looking for on the day or is it just car owners? I mean could you or the council approach some local car related firms e.g. performance garages, auto spares and reputable valeters?

I'd be happy to help out if I can with the above
