Renewable energy forum?

I wonder whether you could consider starting a renewable energy forum? I would imagine that there are a lot of people who are looking at this more closely as energy becomes ever more expensive and I suspect that there would be a fair bit of useful experience and knowledge within the Pistonheads community?

Personally I have made a start by installing a wood burner with a back-boiler and, with the new guaranteed payments coming through for excess electricity generated by renewable means, I am now looking again at Solar after deciding 5 years ago that it would not be economical for us.

As I said above, it's not to do with the politics of the issue, it's simply down to the fact that there much already be enough chat about a subject before we create the forum or doing so will simply kill the discussions rather than encouraging them.

In what way is an alternately fuelled car disscision suitable for a renewable energy forum. Where do you think the power comes from to fuel your electric car?

Yeah, that's true.

It'll be awesome as I can extend the journey up to my folks by an hour+ but the recharging will be free...
