Nice article even if it is inaccurate.
Rover V8 firstput into the MGB? I think not.
You'd think Austin Rover online would have heard of a Rover P5B.
Edited for spooling pistakes.
Err no. That is not what it says.Rover V8 firstput into the MGB? I think not.

MG was first to get its hands on it engine, when the Abingdon engineers shoehorned it into the MGB GT in 1973.
Its not the best prose, but it says MG first had it in 1973, not that MG were the first to have it. Tyre Tread said:

Nice little article here comparing the two.
I enjoyed reading that article, as others have pointed out it may not be 100% accurate but very good none the less. Thanks for posting GJR The following paragraph made me smile:

Even before you set off, the TVR leaves you in no doubt that your right foot is in control of an awesome wedge of power – it pulls like a steam train from 1000rpm in any gear. It’s a relentless but elastic shove that almost renders the gearbox redundant. Cog swapping results in a change in exhaust note – an exercise saved for tunnels and built-up areas. It’s yobbish, but we love it
