The common fitment is the spoiler from a 400SE. Alternatively there was a factory option made by Zender that covers a fair bit of the bootlid! Wackiest of the lot is the SEAC spoiler commonly known as the 'tea-tray' - it's about the size of a Mini door...
You might find a more modern saloon car spoiler that may fit without looking 'wrong': I've thought that the Peugeot 405 one looks about the right sort of shape for a Wedge...

I got my 400SE spoiler from Trevor at TET, fabulous bloke, great service, superb product. It comes painted in primer, so needs a top coat. Mine cost me about £60 to get painted. He advertises in the back pages of Sprint.

I would have thought the 400 style spoiler would be better for selling the car on, as it was a factory product, and IMO looks good, i don't think it actually does anything in the way of downforce though .

I think the spoiler looks better on the SE than the 350i.

Not sure I agree... IMHO the standard rump has whiff of mk2 Vauxhall Cavalier about it and is transformed by the SE spoiler. J

The 350i was fitted with a zender - thought it looked better than a SE spoiler as it blends with the rump... getting hold of one might be tricky though.. could try douglas valley breakers..

Yeah, my 390 has a Zender... I think it gives the tailend a bit of a 'flicked-up' look, rather than that downward slope of the bootlid.... although it still looks better than when the old BMW saloons had a down-slope at the rear

All IMHO of course...

The Zender looks like a Halfords Universal boot spoiler. I remember seeing them on Cavaliers and Saphires many moons ago.

Looks nasty IMO

Probably because all the Cavalier/Sapphire owners saw them on wedges and wanted one along with the BMW and Merc owners Must be colour coded of course.
