....for a conference in the city centre. My days are full and I need to be in reasonable shape for them, but I have evenings free.

I know it will be cold and thats about it.

Not been to Sweden before - any tips?

Not sure on opening times, but Vasamuseet and Skansen are both (IMHO) worth a visit.

Vasamuseet is the Vasa Museum - similar story to the Mary Rose, but in much better nick.

Skansen is a collection of beautiful old Scandinavian buildings, collected and put in a park at the turn of the twentieth century.

Of course, as well as culture, there are also plenty of bars, and lovely Scandinavian ladies. Neither of which come cheap...

There is a thread in here from October titled "Stockholm" where I gave a few restaurant and bar recommendations at various prices from inexpensive to eye watering.

As Dibs infers in the evenings a lot of tourist attractions other than nightlife bars etc will be closed.

If you get a threesie expect to be filmed, blackmailed with an eventually appearance at Southwark Crown Court on an extradition hearing.

FiF, I did actually check out that Grill restaurant you recommended. It looked ideal, however I didnt have a good excuse to go there and stick a steak of that magnitude on the expense claim.

The time I did, the person I was "entertaining" wasnt keen to walk that far, so we went to Zink Grill, which was also excellent.

I know where it is now though. thumbup
