So his legal team will now try and argue, that we mustn't extradite him from the UK, in case the Swedes send him to the US. Beggars belief, but I've no doubt our judges will fall for it.

As a little boy, my parents taught me not only the difference between right and wrong, but also that there may be consequences to my actions . . . . . . it seems that Mrs Assanges little boy is finally starting to grasp this concept.

It looks like for once, it wont simply be other people getting the stty end of the stick thanks to this tit

It's clearly a huge stitch up and if he got sent to the US it'd be a travesty.

Don't be such a drama queen. If he comes here, and I hope he stays elsewhere, he won't get the death penalty. A soft little fellow like him can provide endless ditractions in jail.

If we refuse to extradite him to the US on death penalty grounds, why would Sweden extradite him in the same circumstances? Surely they're equally bound by the ECHR and therefore it is not a defence against extradition to Sweden on the alleged rape charges.

Everyone knows the US has been waiting to get their hands on him the second the story broke and he made them look like a bunch of idiots. What would their grounds for extradition be? Terrorism?

No. What would be your grounds to keep him?

There's no grounds for anything, he should be walking free on the streets.

Indeed.

If people faced jail for making Americans look stupid, you'd have to build a wall around Washington.

He's not the messenger, he's the publisher, there’s a rather large difference

So, following your logic, if someone steals some diamonds and asks you to launder them, are you innocent because you did not steal them?

I don't need to. The same rules apply to all countries. The difference is only Americans deny it.

The same way Private Eye gets lots of their stories . . . . . hasn’t stopped Hislop and Co being hauled up in front of a judge and at least they have the decency to try and check the things they publish are true etc wink

So why are none of the journos at the many papers around the world that are heliping Wikileaks analyse and publish the secrets not being talked about? He is the figurehead, yes, but all the so called illegal actions are being carried out by him and many others.
