This video was brought to my attention yesterday. It's apparently a version of Pozzi Blue on an F40. And Bernd's driving isn't too bad either. I like how he double de-clutches.

He's heel and toeing down through two gears.

Good to see an F40 being driven.

On the first shift, it looks to me like he blips when the clutch pedal comes up. I don' think the entire second shift was captured.

Curious how all Italian cars used to position the steering wheel so far from the vertical.

Could never understand that. It suggests Italians have short legs and long arms. Most odd.

Its a technique called peel and bowing, makes the car go faster in a straight line and can also improve fuel economy in reverse only

My god that looks good. When (positive thinking) I get my F40 I wish I could drive it that well too.

I'm getting a bit lost with all this. What was unusual about the driving..?

My favourite car.

My favourite Ferrari colour scheme (blue with tan).

A great video, many thanks for posting.

It's better than mine and I can't heel and toe either.

I wonder how much a nice F40 would go for these days ... Despite hteir cult status and looks i have heard dreadful things about their handling....

Would rather have a 458 instead . And dont get me wrong I had a poster of the F40 on my wall when a kiddo and love its looks but well comparing it to any recent Ferrari its like comparing a 3D TV to a Black and White one. I think the F40 is iconic and not overpriced for that reason only and nothing else.

Looks stunning in that colour. Clearly a man of fine taste.

Giorginetto why dont you drive one first
Its like giving a view on what a bird that you have never shagged yourself yourself would be like in the sack. Pretty meaningless.
Half the people that have slated its handling have never driven it either. And half of those that have driven it can't drive anyway, the other half probably have tiny nobs.
Its a bloody great car.

It's not hard. Sit in a stationary car and teach yourself.

I'll set some time aside at the weekend and start a thread about it in GG.
