I have seen 2 of these, one in America, California I believe, and one in the UK. (I am exempting the white w/blue roof because I believe it was just bumpers and wheels?)

My question is this: To what level are these cars 'Stradaledeededded'.

- Did they fit a Stradale engine and box?
- Did they upgrade the engine and gearbox ECU's, ABS and electronics?
- Did they fit the Ceramic Brakes, if they did, then they would have had to hae used a Stradale dash unit?
- Did they use the complete dash and interior?
- Did they use the Suspension components (ie titanium springs)?
- Did they use a Stradale diff?

Did the UK one ever sell in its Stradalidised form? What did it go for and when?

Thanks for entertaining my question-a-line thread. Any help would be thankfully recieved.

If you have seen one of these you are either hallucinating or you are witnessing a truly horrific attempt at trying to make a 360 look like a stradale. They didn't make any stradale spiders and hence what you have seen is a after market job. Sorry, but it is shameless to do that.

No, indeed these cars are un official cars. People have built them after buying a standard 360 Spider.

Here is the UK one that I can see had the ceramics, standard interior and engine, but it may have been modified further since.

Does anybody know if this car still exists???

For what it is worth, I think this looks amazing. Better than a 16M

Didn't "360Trev" do a Modena to a mock CS conversion? I believe his reasoning was that he wanted to keep his car a manual and didn't want F1. I believe he spent shed loads more £££ changing the bits on his Modena, which cost far and above what a CS would've cost to buy new!

Still a Modena with CS bits on though!

IIRC, this car no longer exists. The car was "de-Stradalitised" and sold as a standard 360 Spider

i think that is a perfect example of how you can take a good looking car and make it look better by a few choice additions.

Any more pics available?

to the OP, how far each owner went will have depended on what they wanted from their car i assume. there are quite a few cars going about with bits and pieces on them to get them as their currents owners wanted, some with more pieces than others.
for many its subtle upgrades only, for others only cosmetic work while a smaller group do some of each.

not everyone who works on their 360s has stradale envy even though stradale parts commonly go on to them so to assume this is the reasoning is to perhaps miss out on whats actually taken place. like any car manufacturer, even ferrari have to aim models into general areas. this leaves some caught in between models with nothing perfect for them.
for spyder owners, a stradale wouldnt fit their needs so they have no option but to work backwards and make their own performance convertible.

ive a coupe that is running everything mechanically and electronically from the stradale (with some scuderia parts where improvements over the stradale) but still with the modena interior and bumpers etc save for some external race parts. ferrari themselves did all of this work on the car for me albeit after some lengthy back and forths to get there.
once moving their input was huge and very impressive. given the CS design was 6 years out of touch from a technical perspective there was input onto my car that benefits from their experiences and advances during this additional time.
ive now got a great 360 (and unique since ferrari did the work) though recognise that it falls into an odd camp to many on the outside. those with an alternative take on cars and their purpose, or perhaps without a deeper view of what takes place at ferrari and has done historically may indeed feel its a failed stradale attempt but the purpose was never to make a stradale. if id wanted this i would have just bought one in the first place or picked one up to run alongside the modena.

i actually have race cars (a 996 supercup, a 997 cup and a 430 challenge at the moment) and race with them so the pseudo race car effects of the CS and scuderia were entirely wasted on me. this was not what i wanted my road car experience to be from a ferrari. if i want to feel like im in a race car ill go and actually drive a race car in a race, not clank around town in harnesses with no carpet as i make my way for lunch, however the regular cars were too compromising from a technical aspect and limited or negatively impacted my enjoyment when driving.
once put to ferrari they were very helpful in advising and correcting these aspects. in many ways this attitude holds true to the original ferrari spirit where all that mattered was the car and its performance. a spirit that existed long before owners only drove 100 miles a year and hoped their cars went up in value.
if you are fortunate enough to develop a relationship with ferrari or ferrari owners you might just find that there are rather alot of one offs and improved or personalised cars going about that ferrari have carried out for owners. this happened in the 50s and continues to happen today.

for each person, what they want from a car is entirely personal and rightly so. its what makes things interesting. one should always be careful however not to take too seriously what other people are doing or draw too many conclusions from this.
the above is just my experience. there are many others and many of which while entirely contradict my own.
