I've been asked by a non-car savvy friend to sort out a failed dipped bulb on her '02 MINI Cooper (the BMW variety of course). I've had a look around and it appears to be a H7 bulb that's needed and I was thinking that this was a good opportunity to get a good set in there as she does a lot of night driving on unlit country roads (Isle of Man). Popped into Halfords earlier and they have their usual BOGOF on their "Brilliance" ranges, currently I've got the "Super Brilliance" ones in my 306 and they are ok but certainly not amazing - I definately wouldn't want to put anything worse in. Are their "Extreme Brilliance" ones worth it or is there better to be had for the money?

Halford's super-duper bulbs fared worse than Philip's bog standard bulbs.

Either Oscram Nightbreaker or Philips Xtreme are the ones to go for.

I have a set of the halfords extreme brilliance xenon bulbs. The difference between those and standard halogens is minimal, I certainly wouldn't put them in if you need better lights as the difference will be hardly noticeable.

Cheers for the advice guys, looks to me like the Osrams/Phillips are give or take the same price as the Halfords Extreme ones so I think I'll go that way.

I'vr had both Osram Nightbreakers and Philips Xtreme +80%, the Philips lasted much longer and were brighter.
