Found out last nite that Leda suspension have now ceased to trade

I had a return email from them today as I was after a full car set for a Mk4 XR3i and the email read "Unfortunately, as our main factory has become unbelievably busy, from the start of 2011 we will not be continuing to build or service Leda dampers, and suggest if necessary you get in touch with AVO suspension.

Thank you - Graham Martin"

so in a roundabout way they are no more

How odd - not many companies close their doors because they are too busy???!!!

I wonder why they recommended AVO to you?

Their website says they are closed until the end of Feb so you may have luck after then.

I though they went bust years ago!? Shame as they made good dampers.

Certainly seems very strange they would take this approach just before the season starts when everyone is looking for parts and new units.

I'm glad you said that... I thought I was going senile: I already had them filed as 'no longer in business'.

It could be that administrators have put the note on the website (and sent the email to the OP) in the hope they can sell the business........again.

Ahh well. Leda gone so it seems. Try GAZ. Similar sort of outfit, the other side of Essex.

or AVO as was suggested.

Dave at gaz was the da in leda, they service and repair leda,we had a set done recently the price was very keen,a lot of cars run gaz. If you buy a set of leda second hand it would be worthwhile getting gaz to overhaul them,we did it worked about half the price of a new set of leda

I had my Ledas serviced in October and received a great service from them.
Having said that, I spoke to AST at Autosport and Curtis took customer service to another level! Very highly recommended!
