Having spent the last few days loading potatoes out of store, grading out any imperfections and carefully aiming to hit a v specific size and length criteria i just wondered how the public perception is of McD's fries.
Probably the highest quality (in terms of spec)chip in the world.
Judging by the countries enourmous appetite for them i assume they are well liked ?

The public perception is that they've never seen a potato in their life.

Prefer BK Chips. Every BK I go to you get freshly cooked chips and you decide whether to salt them or not.

No doubt that McDonalds chips are tasty, but the quality of them by the time they reach your hands is pretty variable in my experience. Freshly cooked they're fine, but its rare to get them fresh.

They clearly have a lot of stuff in them to preserve them - therefore they taste quite different from normal popato chips.

I used to work at McDs, the amount of salt that goes on them is crazy.

A McCains Grower?

Love McDonalds Chips can't stand BK's since they went the King Fries route years ago

(We grow the seed so possibly slightly biased)

Actually, let me clarify that. I was under the impression (as are quite a few other folk I know) that they don't come from potatoes but are, essentially, reconstituted starch.
