Not sure how well this'll go down.

But just a thought as I was heading home tonight, was on a small unnamed road between Belhelvie and Blackdog. The road is okay during the day, but driving it in the dark was pretty scary!

It was white with frost and only a few tracks, quite narrow with shrubbery overhanging onto the road.
There's a fence at one point blocking out an old waste ground. At the top end there's a few narrow bends and cottages.

Just wanted to share my experience, any other of you know of a scary road?

the old A77 before it was tamed and the M77 built

4 lane single carriageway, but people treated it like a motorway (hey its got 4 lanes) and drove at 80-90-100mph.

Lots of hazards, lots of death.

Got caught speeding on it myself about 15 years ago (yes i know not big or clever) Sitting in the back if the police car he just looked me in the eye and said "you're local, you must read in the papers how many people die on this road"

"Scary road?"

Blacktop and beyond towards westhill.
Quite man, dangerous, but not too 'scary' if you take your time.
3 bridges with room for one car and not uncommon to see cars doing 80mph plus passing.

It ws a bit of a dangerous road, but it was only dangerous because of the few aholes who drove it like idiots.

Mind you, it's ace now though. Hardly any traffic, and a couple of underpasses to enjoy the sound of a decent exhaust!

absolutely agree. dry summers night preferably. perfect speed wise for a good handling slightly lower powered car such as mx5, 205gti, puma, mr2.

Although can be fun in anything...

Scary roads in the UK ? I don't think so, try Bolivia, Russia or India.

India is very bad from memory, going in a Taxi from our hotel to Panjim in the evening, my heart was in my mouth as they say. They all drive with blind faith and No light on........truly scary !!
