My mate and I intend hillclimbing/sprinting this this year.
I'm sure you chaps have plenty of advice for us (apart from DONT!!).
Also if anyone knows this particular car, we would be pleased to get any information available. It has 5 speed box and the later semi trailing arm suspension, so it shouldn't jack up in corners (we hope).

I know this car! I used to work at Bradfield Motors in Tetbury in Gloucestershire when I was a teenager cleaning cars etc. The site has now been sold and developed into a large block of flats (this was probably at least 10 yrs ago).
I think the car may have been built by the head mechanic there whose name from memory was John Smith (he is the uncle of a friend though so I could try and find out more).
I seem to recall when I was there the car was sold to or owned by a guy who had a haulage company - I can not remember his name, but I know where he lives in Tetbury as I bumped into him last time I was home visiting my folks.
