Sad to anounce, that my S stopped existing yesterday, while I was on the way to buy some medecine for my son.
Oversteer accelerating out of right bend, got on the grass on right side, then it snapped to the other side over the road, where I chopped of a 20cm thick tree with passenger side.
I landed somwhere in the grass with the tree inegrated in the car (mainly passenger foot well) Chassis ripped off (outrigger) Dashboard bended in the middle.
Ready for the scrapp yard.
I'm so pissed of, but lucky on the other side that I was not injured at all.

Was great to meet you all through this great site. Don't think I'll have the balls to come to Zolder. MY heard will bleed too much.

Glad to hear you're alright. Great shame about the car, is it definately beyond repair?
There cannot be many LHD S's out there, maybe in light of that the insurance may repair it?

Patrick, I'm really gutted for you to hear this.

Main thing is that you were able to walk away from this accident.

I don't doubt you are feeling pretty down about things at the moment, as you and I have spoke on many occasion regarding your S with various fixes and mods etc, we all know your passion for your S

But your posting was in a bit of a "Nice to have met you all while I had my S" nature, but surly it’s worth finding out if the car is repairable first?

Don't give up just yet, talk to your insurers first about what options there are.

Best regards,

Dave.

Patrick,

I'm really sorry for you, it must be heartbraking for you at the moment. Wait and see what the insurance company say, you'd be surprised what can be repaired by a specialist.

In the event that it is a total loss, get out and start looking for another - its like falling of a horse, you have to get back in the saddle.

And however you feel now keep on posting - you're still a PistonHead, even without a car on the road.

Cheers,
JSG

Patrick,

Just really glad to hear that you're alright !! Thats the important part.

Get another one though !! You'll miss it and you are obviously enthusiastic and knowledgable. That knowledge will help others so stick around on the site. As John says you are still a Pistonhead.

As for Zolder, it would be really good to meet you. I'll be there with PaulV aswell and I'm sure we could put a smile on your face with an S and a track. You'll get to see Peter Humphries make me mess my pants anyway !!!

Cheers

Mark

Thanks guys for moral support.
The car would be repairable if I had a new chassis, body, bonnet and right door + dashboard, driverseat and windscreen.
A pitty I live so far from UK, otherwise it would make sense to offer parts, via PH. But over here the car is so rare, that there's hardly any demad for parts.

A Belgium dealer that I called said, that he would be interested if the car was a V8S...

Patrick,

If you do go the route of repairing it, I'll have a bonnet free soon.

Regards,

Dave.

Gutted Roulli Really Bad luck...

..had you ordered that brake upgrade already.. hope you can cancel if you did...

I'm sure there's got to be some way of getting it repaired as long as your insurance company is reasonable, and the chassis is still intact...

..glad you are OK anyway

Cheers,
Matt

Hard luck. I'll never forget the feeling i had rolling my first sports car after 4 days of ownership (we're all fearless when we're young). Horrible feeling knowing that it couldn't be either repaired or replaced as i only had third party insurance.
I hope if your car isn't repairable that your insurers will handle your claim quickly and fairly.

So sorry mate. As the others have said, at least you still have your head!

With every disaster there's always some good to come out of it. Just think, What shall I have now! when the money comes through, that will cheer you up.

Have you planned what to do with all that dosh because we are all ready and waiting to see what you do!

hopefully see you at chattsworth with a new car. Good luck, the excitment is just about to start again for you.

If you feel the immediate urge to get a new one the Swiss importer has some really cheap LHD low mileage V6 S cars for sale at this very moment.
