She's back! (but.....)

Picked the S1 up from the garage last night. First time out since August and now with new shiny bits of chassis, fuel tank cradle, trailing arms, engine mounts and a clutch that works.

Total bill 2500 euro including controle technique for another 2 years.

But... the idle is too low and she's not happy. It appears that the air ducting tube from the airflow meter to the throttle is rotten and has split. Has anyone ever found a source for a suitable replacement?

Spent last night totally wrapping the ducting in gaffa tape until it runs ok, so it's not really urgent.

I have thought about getting some sort of pipe's made up for the airflow did you make yours up from bits and piece's?

Details (all approximate) as follows:

3 x Silicon Hose 120 degree bend - internal diameter ('ID') is 60mm
1 x Silicon Hose straight - internal diameter ('ID') is 60mm

1 x stainless tube straight - external diameter ('OD') is 60mm (I think the internal diameter ('ID') is 57mm). This is the top 'hose section' cut to approximately 130mm length.

1 x stainless tube straight - external diameter ('OD') is 60mm (I think the internal diameter ('ID') is 57mm). This is the bottom 'hose section' cut to approximately 220mm.

All bits are avaliable via ebay or other type places.

That sounds like the sizes for a 2,9 motor?

I'm sure that the single tube on the 2,8 is somewhere in the 80 - 90mm diameter range.

That's the part Kevin. Unfortunately the Ford one isn't long enough. Its looks like TVR took a part from elsewhere are cut it down at one end.

However, I think a solution may be here:

I also bought the product in your link and although it does the job its not as robust as the original duct and of course has raggy edges which need to be tidied to provide a good seal, not sure if you can buy rubber end pieces to improve the seal ?
